'This means bankruptcy' – Expert warns Galatasaray against spending N267b on Osimhen a5t45

Turkish football expert Ertem Şener has raised serious concerns over Galatasaray's pursuit of Napoli-owned striker Victor Osimhen, warning that the financial implications of such a move could cripple the club. n6f63
Galatasaray are eager to secure the services of the Nigeria international on a permanent deal following a sensational campaign in which he netted 37 goals across all competitions.
The prolific forward played a pivotal role in Galatasaray’s domestic dominance, helping the Istanbul giants clinch both the Super Lig title and the Turkish Cup.
Last season, Osimhen shattered multiple records and established himself as one of the most clinical finishers in the world.
Şener flatly rejected the idea of g Osimhen, whose total package, including salary and transfer fee, is estimated to cost Galatasaray around €150 million (approximately ₦267 billion in Nigerian currency).
"I am not in favour of Galatasaray buying Victor Osimhen. You will pay €25 million in annual salary and €70–75 million in transfer fees. This means bankruptcy," Şener was quoted as saying by habersarikirmizi.com.
He stressed that spending that kind of money would put Galatasaray's financial future at risk, even if the club were to win the UEFA Champions League — a feat he believes would still not recoup such an outlay.
Şener further claimed Osimhen prefers a move to the Middle East.
"The information I received is that Osimhen wants to go to Saudi Arabia to earn a higher salary from the Arabs."
Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal are working on a deal to sign the former African Footballer of the Year before the Fifa Club World Cup, with the striker's decision expected in the coming days.
